A now grade II listed building, originally dating back to the 17th Century or possibly earlier, the front was rebuilt and extended towards high street with the addition of the porch circa 1800.

Known originally as the ''Brown Goat'' until around 1850, then ''Wynnstay Arms'' before present name change to the Cain Valley Hotel.

Interior

Whether your admiring the 17th Century staircase, still in it's original guise, with tapering newel posts with carved bosses and pendants, fretted splat balusters and moulded handrail, or the exposed beams of the entrance hall complete with carpenters marks, as well the exposed wattle and daub which you can admire through the glass panels in the hallway and in the restaurant.

The lounge bar also has exposed original beams throughout, and in early 2021 has undergone as thoughtful and loving restoration to the wooden panelling, beams and original lathe & plaster ceiling, giving a modern twist while retaining the original charcter and charm.
